2026: Making Soul-Led Decisions in a Year 1

We’ve all felt the “January ick”.

It’s that frantic pressure to shift from the festivities into the most “optimised” version of yourself within days of the midnight fireworks. Many of us have spent years resisting ‘resolution culture,’ but the Year 1 energy of 2026 adds a new layer of complexity.

We’re entering a new universal cycle. Collectively, we’re planting the seeds for the next nine years.

So, while resisting the ‘resolutions’ is healthy, overlooking the ‘resonance’ is like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Resolutions often come from a place of ‘should’ – a purely logical brain-decision. They take grit and resolve to stick to because they often stem from a desire to “fix” or “improve” ourselves.

Resonance, on the other hand, is about discovery – discovering what resonates. It invites your soul into the conversation alongside your mind. It welcomes change from a place of openness, not force. It’s letting go of what looks good on paper and stopping the exhausting chase for the “right” decision.

Because if I’ve learned anything in my own decision-making, it’s that the “right” decision doesn’t exist. The only thing worth pursuing is the Soul-Led Decision.

A Soul-Led Decision happens the moment you stop asking “What is the smartest/best/perfect move?” and start asking “What is the truest move?”

It’s the bridge between your logic (your human) and your knowing (the soul). It’s the choice that brings a deep exhale – a sense of peace that exists even if the world thinks you’re crazy. Even if the choice makes no ‘sense’ at all.

While we each have our own Personal Year cycle, we are all influenced by the undercurrent of the year. And 2026 is a Universal Year 1.

This brings a fresh chapter and a new cycle of opportunity. This isn’t about the “doom” of getting it wrong; it’s about the power of the beginning. The seeds you plant this year are the ones that get to grow and unfold over the next nine years. This isn’t a fear-based deadline; this is a supportive gift.
